omg, is it THURSDAY already?
I’m sure you’ve come to expect this kind of thing from me when I travel, because somehow I can’t sit down and write a whole entertaining blog post when I’m, say, on the road for eight days? Yeah, I’m going to have to work on that. In my defense, I’m always so busy when I go to the east coast that I can barely find time to sleep, and I usually do all my writing when I get back to L.A. So, what can I say about New York? The weather was beautiful, we saw many of our favorite people, ate at Momofuku, went to Magnolia Bakery, took a drive Upstate, the whole bit. It was magical. I have included this photo of Central Park, which was taken on the roof of the Met, where they also have a Jeff Koons exhibit on right now. I wasn’t thrilled about the exhibit, but can you beat the view? Yowza!
On a "funny and yet not so funny" note, did you hear that thing last week about how Amy Winehouse passed out, and then they took her to the hospital for "tests," and now they think she might have emphysema? I like the part where they’re "doing extensive tests" on her for three or four days before they figure this out. Um, I’m not a doctor, but I’m just going to go out on a limb here and say– Amy Winehouse smokes crack. That’s what’s wrong with her. I will say, though, that you have to be an OLYMPIC LEVEL crack and cigarette smoker to give yourself emphysema at age 25. So, I guess I have to say– well done!
Awesome view in that photo!!
Yeah Amy Winehouse is a piece o’ work. If anyone can get emphysema at 25 I do believe it’d be her – haha. She looks 40 though so maybe all the organs are that age? 😉
