So, this is my first attempt at “mobile blogging,” which essentially consists of me typing this entry in on my Blackberry while sitting at the airport, thumbs flying furiously as I attempt to tune out the repeated announcements of the TSA about my “bageege,” because I just noticed that the announcer in the Newark airport has a Midwestern accent, oh yah.
I’m still working on my “love/hate facebook” post, which should be up on Monday. This week has been packed with meetings and holiday parties and compounded by bad weather on the east coast– did I mention it was COLD? So cold that one day, Stephan was all “when the wind hits you, it’s like you’re being stabbed in the face with a monkey with a tiny knife,” which I thought was pretty funny, but which I guess would really offend you if you actually had been stabbed in the face by a monkey.
Also of note worth– last night I got a random voicemail message from a “Miss Alice” from an organization I think she called “Dreamgirls,” and she was calling to make sure Miss Irene was coming to church class on Saturday, and reminding her to bring her Bible.
I listened to this message several times trying to unpack the various levels of weirdness, and finally gave up. The return number wouldn’t go through, so Miss Irene, if you’re reading this– don’t forget your Bible on Saturday.
