I saw this product the other day in the grocery store while I was searching for cold medicine that would kill my fever without knocking me out (yes, I got sick again, stupid freaky white blood cells that cause me to get every cold, which then turns into a fever, but now I am better). I thought it was actually funny enough to constitute a whole blog post.
Crest 3D white toothpaste. Hmmmm….
Just….
1. Aren't my teeth already in 3d?
2. If my teeth are so bright they're 3d, won't they then be distractingly white?
3. If my teeth are 3G white, will they look like Gary Busey's chicklet teeth? Because that is not a look I'm going for at all.
4. Will others need 3d glasses to see my teeth?
5. If yes, are said glasses included in the box?
6. Since when is 3d a modifier for white? Am I supposed to also want my sheets and towels to be 3d white, or just my teeth?
This "amping up" of regular things always strikes me as funny— Extreme Cellphones, for example, or Extreme Pizza, or Extreme Rags. I know it's a way to attract attention to your products, but frankly it seems like the more everyone does this, the less currency these adjectives hold. Am I wrong about this?
