Usually it takes longer to build up photos, but this happened to be a particularly absurd time period, because I looked in my phone just now, and voila! Enough for a whole post.
I was up at a street fair last weekend when I saw this one– it's an ad for a porta-potty company. I actually think it's pretty clever, but at the same time I thought "I must photograph this for the blog." I'm telling you, when I take this photos, people really look at me like I'm insane. Just in case that makes the whole thing any funnier to you.
So unironic, I think you'll agree. Gets right to the point and stays there.
Remember that sign from a few weeks ago– the one in front of the printing store that said "A Business With No Sign is a Sign of No Business?" Well, apparently the people at the Kinko's in the very same strip mall in El Segundo had the same reaction I did, because they've retaliated with this (much better) sign in THEIR window:
Oh— snap! SIGNS MEAN BUSINESS is not only better than that other sign, but it's better than all of the suggestions I offered. Well done! I declare Kinko's to be the winner of the El Segundo strip mall signage wars.
I noticed this at Whole Foods, and thought it was so amusingly put, I had to photograph. "Help the small farmer" is a nice sentiment, but this made my thoughts go immediately to helping a farmer who is a midget. Help him! He's small and he can't get to any of his trees! He needs a ladder!
Finally, here is a wonderful photo of a street musician— with a live rabbit on his head, perhaps to make him sound better. Seriously– why is there a live rabbit on his head? Why is the rabbit not jumping off? He actually doesn't even have to play music– he could just sit there with a live rabbit on his head– I think this is already pretty darn interesting. Stephan said his music sounded good too.
