What Is Going on Here?
My friend Ashley took a photo of this weird sign recently, and I can't stop thinking about it. What is going on here? It's boggling my mind.
Um…..are you going to have the mattress for six days? Does it take six days for them to get you the mattress? If so, I hate to tell you this, but you can go to a regular mattress store and have that sucker delivered the next day.
Are they open six days a week? Ok, that's great, but when was the last time you saw a business build its name around its hours of openness? What happens if someone gets sick and they have to close on one of the days?
Also, what is going on with the logo? Is that someone's head? Because, and I'm not even trying to be juvenile, it could just as easily be a caricature drawing of any number of things, like a penis or some kind of weird looking ice cream cone.
All in all, this whole situation is a complete branding and signage fail for me. This kind of reminds me of another store/ signage fail, which is "Three Day Blinds." Do you need the blinds in three days? Does it take them three days to get the blinds to you? What is so urgent that you need blinds in THREE DAYS, or THE SAME DAY? I think what I'm saying is, naming a number of days in the name of your business just seems weird to me.
