Seriously—I just tried to print something with my printer
that, as you know, I have a complicated relationship with because IT WILL NOT
SCAN but I’m too stubborn (or cheap) to replace it, and now it’s giving me messages
like this.
Say what? Is the
printer asking me a question, or perhaps accusing me of something? Just for the record, I wouldn’t even bother
to know where to get “counterfeit” printer cartridges, and my tri-color print
cartridge is NOT low, so I don’t know where this printer gets off.
Notice there is no place to say “Yes” or “No” to this
inquiry. Has my printer just reported
me to the printer police? If in fact I
wanted to say “Yes, I DID buy counterfeit ink, I throw myself on the mercy of the
court,” WHO WOULD I TELL THIS TO, since there is no phone number, email, or
link included? Who wrote this absurd
error question, and why was it not caught in the QA process?
To answer YOUR question, no, this still was not enough to
make me replace the printer. IT STILL
PRINTS, sometimes. I hate spending
money to replace things that still kind of work.
