West I'm going to say something right now, and you might not like it, but I've been thinking about it since this whole "Kanye West's outburst at the VMAs" thing came up.  Because I know it's popular opinion that he was wrong, and even he admits that he was wrong to interrupt and blurt like that, and he's been apologizing and crying all over the place, but I have to say……. I totally get the sentiment behind the whole thing.  I don't like Taylor Swift either, and I've just about had it with the world worshipping her.  Stop it!   She sucks!

Here's why:  Taylor Swift is not a good musician, and no one will say anything or tell her because she looks like a model, and is a money-making machine for the music industry.  So, if Kanye West, who makes actual musical contributions to the world, wants to get drunk and pop her bubble at the VMAs, maybe that's ok.

Dude, maybe Kanye West didn't deliver the message as elegantly as we might have wanted, but what about this?   What if Taylor Swift is an entitled Barbie Doll who cannot sing and who had thusfar had the world handed to her on a silver platter, and that her "omigod!  You're so mean!" face is just a ploy because she knows she's bad?  Sorry.  Maybe she can use this terrible, horrible experience of a mean man interrupting her acceptance speech to actually get some charcter and write a song about something more substantive than breaking up with her boyfriend because she's just tooooo pretty to be tied down.

Again, I think I might be losing some of you here, but I love Kanye West, and  I think I might love him even more for raining on Taylor Swift's "oh my gosh, everything is peachy keen in my life" parade. Besides, why is this so new or surprising?  Kanye West is tempermental, everyone knows this.  Every time he (or someone he likes) doesn't win something, he throws a big tantrum. What I don't get is why everyone is so upset that he's picking on Taylor Swift.  No one has EVER picked on Taylor Swift, ok? She's fine in that department.  A little rain on her parade is probably even going to help her, so don't feel too bad for her.

Speaking of pretty girls, I thought it was really classy on Beyonce's part to invite TS up for the rest of her speech— actually, come to think of it, I respect Beyonce mostly because she's defied the very odds that bring out my Taylor Swift enmity.  She's put in her time and worked really hard, and seems to have a sense of humor about herself.   But, dude.  Taylor Swift has none of these things.  She IS none of these things.  And, maybe before we jump all over Kanye West, we should take this as an "Emperor Wears No Clothes" moment where we ask ourselves why a marginally talented person should be winning awards.  I'm just saying.

Let the backlash begin, Swift defenders!
