Oh, Charlie Sheen, why must you continue to engage in antics that force me to write about you on this blog?
In case you don't pay attention to celebrity news (good for you), Charlie Sheen (who is already on probation for assaulting his 4th wife on Christmas) had to go to the hospital this week because he (allegedly) got loaded and started screaming and broke a bunch of stuff at the Plaza Hotel, and when the police got there, they found that he also had a naked prostitute locked in the closet.
Sigh. Just….why is Charlie Sheen allowed to exist in public? Why does a tv network continue to employ him and pay him so much money? This is a person who is never going to hit rock bottom if the people around him keep enabling him. I propose that if your life resembles the movie "The Hangover," you need to take a hard look at yourself and make some changes.
Look at Robert Downey, Jr– he is a great example of a person who clearly struggles with his substance abuse problem and works hard at keeping it in check. Perhaps he was closer to death than Charlie Sheen, but Sheen's shenanigans have gotten to be a little tiresome, don't you think? Poor Martin Sheen, who worked his way up rung by rung in Hollywood and was President Bartlet on my beloved West Wing, and he gives his children all the opportunities that he never had, and ends up with the hot mess that is Charlie Sheen.
Charlie Sheen is just such an obvious example of a person who has always had everything handed to him, who thinks that normal rules don't apply to him, and who has to keep pushing the boundaries, maybe to get attention, maybe because he just drinks so much and takes so many drugs that he can't control himself.
What I don't get is why Charlie Sheen can even do anything anymore–like, how can he get a hotel room or rent a car or fly on a plane when he obviously is so out of control. Aren't you almost like " well, you married him/ rented him a hotel room/ let him out of jail," so don't be surprised when he just destroys and ruins everything. A scorpion stings, man– that's just what it does.
Also, good for Denise Richards, who apparently was staying in a suite nearby to where the drama went down so you know she has all the good dirt, but who has obviously learned to take the high road and not get involved in the Sheen drama.
I predict that if Charlie Sheen doesn't get some help, he is not going to make it to 50, and no one will be surprised.
