About Me
I am Lori Culwell. I find many things strange and interesting. In this photo, I am either very small, or Bob from Bob’s Big Boy is very large.
The late writer and great thinker Bert O. States once called me the “Nora Ephron of the underemployed set.” I’m not even sure what that means, but if I can even get close to the success of Nora Ephron, I will be a happy writer.
I write books, and websites, and sometimes magazine articles. My debut novel, Hollywood Car Wash, is being re-released by Touchstone/ Fireside in 2009. In 2006, an essay I wrote got nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Cool!
Yes, I am the Lori Culwell whose senior thesis is “The Role of the Clown in Shakespeare’s Theater,” which was in the Journal of Early Modern Literary Studies, and is probably being plagiarized even as we speak. Click here to read it.
I write this blog because sometimes you just need to say something, but you don’t necessarily want to wade through the red tape of publishing, if you know what I mean.
